Leadership

Vineet Gulati, CEO

Vineet is the founder and CEO of HealthExpense.com. He has over 20 years experience in the Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals industries.
He led Capgemini's Western US Region Pharmaceutical Consulting Practice and grew the business from $3m in 2002 to $45 million in 2006.
He led several initiatives aimed at improving operations and customer acquisition for global clients and has proven success in establishing and implementing strategic supply chain, quality transformation and change management programs.
Vineet has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Delhi, India and he is a Chartered Accountant certified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, UK.


Csaba Csoma, Technology

Csaba is a co-founder and is responsible for technology, research and development. He has over 15 years of software engineering experience from coding to leading large teams.
At Philips Healthcare he led the IntelliSpace PACS (formerly iSite) development for initiatives like multi-modality mammography screening and radiology workstations. Customers included the Department of Defense, MD Anderson and Kaiser Permanente.
Earlier he was a researcher at Johns Hopkins University in the field of image guided therapy and surgical robotics. He contributed to over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Csaba has a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Dennis Gabor College, Hungary.


Joe Maturo, Finance

Joe is a senior executive and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in accounting, finance, operations, management and investment banking. He has held senior leadership roles in both manufacturing and service companies, with early-stage enterprises as well as large organizations.
Most recently, he was CFO of Matrix Medical Network, a medical services firm that was acquired by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe.
Earlier he had co-founded Allegiance Health Services, an outsourced medical services firm that was later acquired by Hooper Holmes, Inc.
Joe has a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Boston College and an MBA in Finance from New York University.


Dinesh Gambhir, Operations

Dinesh is a co-founder and is responsible for operations at HealthExpense.com. He has experience in starting practices and businesses from the ground up.
He founded Deloitte & Touche's Outsourcing Practice and co-founded Navatar Consulting Group, a leading provider of industry specific Salesforce.com platform solutions.
Dinesh also led the HP USA Application Outsourcing Business group.
He is a PhD graduate of New York University's Polytechnic Institute.

Board of Directors

Sanjaya Kumar M.D.

Sanjaya is a successful entrepreneur and accomplished author; an investor, board member, and active advisor to HealthExpense.
He is the founder and past CEO of Quantros Inc., one of the largest vendors of web-based data management and decision support solutions designed to further quality improvement, patient safety, and compliance tracking.
Sanjaya authored two books: Fatal Care: Survive in the US Health System and Demand Better! Revive Our Broken Healthcare System.


Sandip Gupta

Sandip is an Advisor to HealthExpense.com. He is the President of Netmagic Solutions, a leading IT service provider offering data center, managed hosting and infrastructure management services to global customers.
He has 17 years of experience managing and growing global high-technology product and services businesses. Sandip has held various CEO and VP level roles in companies with $10M+ in yearly revenue.
Sandip is an MBA graduate from the Stern School of Business at NYU and a Bachelor's degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from the MNR National Institute of Technology, India. He is a YPO member in the SF bay area, a TiE charter member and a chair for the TiE CEO forum.

Board of Advisors

Lisa Danzig M.D.

Lisa is Global Head, Clinical and Scientific Affairs at Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics, where she oversees the clinical development of innovative diagnostics in Emeryville, California.
Lis is an expert in vaccines, and has contributed to the development of meningococcal vaccines and has worked in Siena, Italy, Cambridge, MA and Hangzhou, China. During her two years as an EIS officer with the United States Centers for Disease Control, she investigated outbreaks of healthcare associated infections and taught epidemiology in Cote d'Ivoire to district health officers in West Africa.
Lisa received her medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and completed residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases in San Francisco. She serves on the boards of the Merola Opera Program, the Karuna Foundation, and is an advisor to the Lemelson Foundation.


Charles E. Saunders M.D.

Charles has a broad healthcare and business background, having served in leadership roles in a variety healthcare services and IT companies. He was formerly CEO of Broadlane, President of EDS Healthcare Global Industry Group and Chief Medical Officer of Healtheon and WebMD. In addition, he has provided healthcare strategy consulting services to payers, provider organizations, technology companies and private equity.
He received his MD degree from Johns Hopkins and is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, in which capacity he has also worked for many years as a practitioner, teacher and researcher in academic healthcare systems, including UCSF and Vanderbilt.


Sara J. Singer, M.B.A., Ph.D.

Sara is professor of Health Care Management and Policy at the Harvard School of Public Health and of Medicine at Harvard Medical School in the Institute for Health Policy, Massachusetts General Hospital.
She has provided strategic and technical expertise, including Congressional testimony, to U.S. and international policymakers and health industry leaders to promote health care reform and innovation.
She serves on the editorial board of Health Services Research journal.
Previously, Dr. Singer was a Senior Research Scholar at Stanford University's Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, where she was also a Lecturer and founding Executive Director of the Center for Health Policy.
She holds an A.B. degree in English from Princeton University, a M.B.A. degree with a Certificate in Public Management from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Health Policy/Management with a concentration in organizational behavior.


Michael Klieman

Michael has spent his career building and running consumer and healthcare technology businesses with some of the most successful companies in the world.
Michael is Vice President of Product at 1Life Healthcare, a network of boutique medical practices that is transforming primary care through an unparalleled approach to the end-to-end customer experience.
Prior to 1Life Healthcare, Michael was CEO and Co-Founder of HealthRails, a SaaS business focused on simplifying billing and payment in healthcare for both patients and providers.
Michael spent almost 11 years at Intuit, where he headed up business development and strategy for the healthcare division, ran the successful Quicken and QuickBooks online payment businesses, and led the online banking product management efforts that grew Intuit's connectivity to thousands of financial institutions.
Michael began his career at Coopers & Lybrand (PriceWaterhouseCoopers), where he consulted on systems security and process controls to health insurance and financial services companies.
He is a licensed CPA in California, he has an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and he earned a BA in accounting and economics from George Washington University.


Dan Ross

Dan is an entrepreneur and healthcare business executive. He is the CEO of AlignSource LLC, a New York-based healthcare recruitment company that he founded in 2007.
He also co-founded Allegiance Health Services, a provider of independent medical evaluations, which was subsequently acquired by Hooper Holmes, Inc..
Dan is a graduate of Harvard University, and a member of the Virginia and New York State bar associations.


Vaughan Acton

Vaughan is a brand management and web marketing consultant. She has held senior management positions in major healthcare organizations, heading brand management and Internet marketing departments at McKesson Corporation, Kaiser Permanente, and Prudential Healthcare.
Vaughan has an MBA in Marketing from Columbia University and a BA in History from Georgia State University.
